Jak już pewnie zauważyliście, mamy nowy logotyp i super baner z szalejącymi na nim handheldzikami! Tak, są tylko dwa typy, Vita i Switch, a to dlatego, że głównie o grach na te dwa sprzęty piszemy. Za stworzenie tych cud maskotek oraz logotypu odpowiada Martyna “Matti” Janik. Wspólnie zdecydowaliśmy, że chcemy pociągnąć projekt dalej i damy Wam też szansę przyczynić się do jego rozwoju w poniższym konkursie:

Zaprojektuj baner na naszego Fejsa lub Twittera

Wasze zadanie polega na podaniu nam pomysłu na obrazek, który trafi na Twittera lub Facebooka. Macie pełną dowolność, jeśli chodzi o zawartość, ale muszą być spełnione dwa warunki:

1. całość musi kręcić się wokół handheldów;
2. projekt ma być zrobiony z myślą o konkretnej platformie social mediowej.

Tak, dla jasności: na obrazku mogą znaleźć się różne konsolki lub postaci z gier z różnych platform. Możecie określić, w jakim stylu ma wykonany Wasz pomysł, np. jak nasze nowe maskotki lub pod konkretną animację, tudzież realistycznie. Wybór platformy socialowej jest ważny, ponieważ headery Twittera i Fejsa różnią się gabarytami. Wystarczy nam sam opis pomysłu, ale z chęcią też zobaczymy szkic, który wspomoże przekaz wizji (spokojnie, patykowe ludki do tego wystarczą).

Komisja składająca się z naszej ekipy i Matti wybierze dwa najciekawsze projekty. Oprócz tego, że wybrane prace zostaną zrealizowane i trafią na odpowiednio na Twittera i FB, każdy z dwojga zwycięzców otrzyma:

Zgłoszenia wysyłajcie na maila kontakt@myhandhelds.pl, w temacie napiszcie nazwę konkursu. W treści maila trzeba podać:

• imię i nazwisko/pseudonim, którym chcecie być podpisani w razie otrzymania nagrody;
• na co jest projekt (Twitter czy FB);
• opis pomysłu na baner (po polsku lub angielsku), dodać ewentualny szkic;
• określić konsolę (PSV czy NS) oraz region (EU lub NA).

Na zgłoszenia czekamy do północy w niedzielę 24 marca 2019 roku. Zwycięzców postaramy się ogłosić 31 marca.

A to regulamin, z którym koniecznie się zapoznajcie:

1. Na zgłoszenia czekamy do niedzieli  24 marca 2019 r. do północy.
2. Zgłoszenie należy wysłać na adres mailowy: kontakt@myhandhelds.pl
3. Każdy uczestnik może przysłać tylko jedno zgłoszenie. W tytule maila trzeba podać nazwę konkursu. W treści maila trzeba podać: imię i nazwisko/pseudonim, którym chcecie być podpisani w razie otrzymania nagrody; na co jest projekt (Twitter czy FB), opis pomysłu na baner (po polsku lub angielsku), dodać ewentualny szkic, określić konsolę (PSV czy NS) oraz region (EU lub NA).
4. Wyniki zostaną ogłoszone 31 marca 2019 roku na stronie w godzinach wieczornych. W zależności od liczby zgłoszeń termin może ulec zmianie na późniejszy.
5. Dwie nagrody w postaci 60 USD do wydania na Play-Asia (przesyłkę pokrywa redakcja) zostaną przyznane najciekawszym pracom. Kwoty tej nie można wymienić na gotówkę. Wybrane przedmioty najpierw przyjdą do naszej redakcji i dopiero zostaną wysłane do zwycięzcy. Nagrody zostaną wysłane Pocztą Polską listem poleconym w przeciągu tygodnia od otrzymania ich z PA.
6. Kody na gry zostaną wylosowane spośród wszystkich zgłoszeń (poza już wybranymi na zakupy w PA) według wskazanej konsoli i regionu. Będziemy kontaktować się ze szczęśliwcami według kolejności wylosowania. Na odpowiedź macie 24 godziny od wysłania maila informacyjnego o dostępnych nagrodach. Brak odpowiedzi w wyznaczonym czasie będzie skutkował trafieniem na koniec kolejki.
7. W razie wygranej podamy podpis użyty w zgłoszeniu. Każde zgłoszenie jest równoznaczne z wyrażeniem zgody na wykorzystanie pomysłu na obrazek oraz modyfikację go, jeśli zajdzie taka potrzeba.
8. W konkursie nie mogą brać udziału obecni i byli członkowie ekipy myhandhelds.pl (dawniej myhandhelds.pl), jeśli nie minęło 12 miesięcy od ich odejścia. Udziału nie mogą brać też zewnętrzni współpracownicy.

On August 5th, 2018, we changed our sites name. We were unable to change the banner at the time, but we already had plans in this regard. We also promised a competition. 8 months later we come back to the topic!

As you’ve probably noticed, we have a new logotype and a super banner with handhelds rascals on it! Yes, there are only two types, Vita and Switch, and that’s because we mainly write about games for these two devices. Martyna “Matti” Janik is responsible for creating those amazing mascots and logotype. Together, we decided that we would like to continue the project and give you the chance to contribute to its development in the following competition:

Banner Time!

Help us design a banner for our Facebook or Twitter

Your task is to give us an idea for an illustration that will go on our Twitter or Facebook accounts. You have full freedom when it comes to content, but two conditions must be met:

1. the idea has to revolve around handhelds;
2. the concept needs to be for a specific social platform (Twitter or Facebook).

For clarity: there may be various handheld consoles or game characters from various platforms in the picture. You can specify in which style your idea should be made, for example like our new mascots or like a specific animation, or realistically. The choice of a social platform is important because Twitter and Facebook headers differ in size. All we need is a description of the idea, but we will also accept a sketch that will support written version of your vision (don’t worry, stick figures are totally fine).

The committee, consisting of our team and Matti, will choose the two most interesting projects.  Apart from the fact that selected works will be turned into illustrations and be placed on Twitter and FB respectively, each of the two winners will receive:

$60 to spend in Play-Asia!

We also have additional prizes in the form of game codes. Because the competition is international and includes PSV and NS, you’ll have to choose one of those consoles and distribution region. Codes will be drawn among all entries in 4 groups based on console and region. You can win:

To enter the competition you need to send an email to kontakt@myhandhelds.pl with the subject line “Banner Time”. In the body of the email you must provide: 

• name and surname/pseudonym, which you want to be signed in the event of receiving the prize; 
• specify social media for the project (Twitter or FB), 
• write your banner idea (in Polish or English), 
• add a sketch if you want to include one, 
• specify the console (PSV or NS) and the region (EU or NA). 

We are waiting for entries till midnight on Sunday, March 24th, 2019. We will try to announce the winners on March 31.

These are the regulations that you must read:

1. We are waiting for entries till Sunday, March 24th, 2019, midnight.
2. The application needs be sent to the following e-mail address: kontakt@myhandhelds.pl. Each participant can send only one application. In the title of the email you must enter the name of the contest. In the body of the email you must provide: name and surname/pseudonym, specify social media for the project (Twitter or FB), write your banner idea (in Polish or English), add a sketch if you want to include one, specify the console (PSV or NS) and the region (EU or NA).
3. Results will be announced on March 31st, 2019 on the site. Depending on the number of applications, the deadline may change to a later date.
4. Two prizes in the form of 60 USD to be spend on Play-Asia (shipment will be covered by the our site) will be granted to the sender of the selected works. This amount can not be exchanged for cash. Selected items will first come to our editorial office and then will be sent to the winner. The prizes will be sent trough Polish Post registered mail within one week of their receipt from PA.
5. The game codes will be drawn from among all entries (except those already selected for shopping in PA) accordingly to chosen console and region. We will contact winners in the order of the draw. You have 24 hours to reply after we send an information email about the available prizes. Lack of response in the given time will result in push back to the end of the queue.
6. If you win, we will publish the signature used in the application. Each entry is tantamount to agreeing to use the idea for the image and to modify it if necessary.
7. The current and former members of the myhandhelds.pl team (formerly myhandhelds.pl) can not participate in the competition unless 12 months have passed since their departure. External collaborators can not take part.
